By downloading or using Muscle Guard, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of service
Muscle Guard is a self-tracking companion application for people taking GLP-1 receptor agonist medications. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. Medical disclaimer
Information in Muscle Guard is for informational purposes only. Always consult your prescriber before making any decisions about your medication, diet, exercise, or treatment plan. We are not responsible for any health decisions you make based on information in the app.
4. Account creation
You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Pro features require an active subscription. Pricing varies by region — see the Pricing section of muscleguardglp.com. Free trials require no payment method to start. Paid subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
6. Refunds
Refund requests are processed through the App Store or Google Play according to their respective policies. We do not process refunds directly.
7. AI features and third-party services
AI plate scan uses Google Gemini. Packaged-food data uses Open Food Facts. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. By using these features, you acknowledge data may be transmitted to those services as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code. Do not use the app to harm yourself or others. Do not impersonate other users or attempt unauthorised access.
9. User content
You retain ownership of all content you create in the app — photos, notes, logs. You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content only for the purpose of providing the service to you.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brand Expert (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Muscle Guard.
12. Changes to terms
We will notify users via the app of material changes to these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Jurisdiction: Johannesburg, Gauteng.
