How much does Muscle Guard cost?
Free forever for the basics. Pro is R99/month or R899/year in South Africa, $5.99/month in the US, €5.99/month in the EU. 7-day free trial, no card needed.
How do I cancel Pro?
Through your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) subscription settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Does Muscle Guard work with Apple Watch, Whoop or Oura?
Yes — available now in v1.0. Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect integration is live. Muscle Guard reads steps, sleep, heart rate and workout data — all opt-in, all transparent.
Where is the AI plate scan data sent?
The meal image is sent to Google Gemini for ingredient and macronutrient detection. The image is not stored after processing. Open Food Facts is queried for packaged-food data. All disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
Is Muscle Guard available in my country?
The app is available worldwide. ZAR is the primary displayed currency by default; switch via the regional toggle on the homepage to USD, EUR or GBP. Country-specific medical aid / insurance information varies — see ZA, US, or EU.
Can I use Muscle Guard with compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Yes. Compounded preparations are first-class citizens in Muscle Guard — particularly relevant in South Africa where branded products are often unaffordable. Log compounded vials with custom dose schedules.
My GLP-1 has stopped working — what does Muscle Guard show me?
Plateaus and dose adaptation are common. Muscle Guard surfaces the pattern across weight, protein, training, and side effects so you can show your healthcare provider a clear picture at your next consult. Decisions about dosing remain between you and your provider.
Section C — Privacy & data
How do I delete my account?
In-app: Profile → Delete Account → confirm twice. All data is permanently removed within 7 days. If you've already lost access, email research@muscleguardglp.com from your account email.
What about my data privacy?
We never sell your data. No third-party advertising trackers. POPIA, GDPR and CCPA compliant. Your data lives on your device and our encrypted servers, and you can delete all of it in one tap. See our Privacy Policy.
Do you use third-party trackers?
No. The website uses no third-party tracking. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not set cookies and does not share data with advertisers.
Where is my data stored?
On your device first. Backed up to region-appropriate encrypted cloud storage — EU-region for EU users, with equivalent posture for ZA and US users. Doctor PDFs are generated on-device only and shared at your discretion.
