For European GLP-1 users who expect privacy as default
GDPR is not a feature checklist for us — it's the architecture. Muscle Guard collects only what it needs to provide the app, encrypts everything at rest, hosts data in EU-region storage, and lets you delete it all in one tap. No cookie banner because we don't use third-party tracking. No advertising integration. No data sale.
What European GLP-1 users face
- Adoption is at ~2% of European adults — much smaller than the U.S. but accelerating, per IQVIA's 2026 outlook.
- Country-by-country regulation. NHS UK provides Wegovy through specialist weight-management services with strict criteria and long waiting lists (typically 12-18 months). Germany, France and Spain have private-clinic pathways that fill the gap.
- Oral semaglutide (Wegovy pill) submitted to EMA in H2 2025. Approval pending. Muscle Guard already supports Rybelsus oral GLP-1 — the same pill formulation in a different indication.
- Stigma is meaningfully higher than in the U.S. A 2026 European study found users of GLP-1 medications faced more social judgement than users who hadn't lost weight. We design our copy to respect that — evidence-cited, never performative.
- Localisation. English first. German, Spanish and French are on the roadmap for Q3 2026 alongside localised app store listings.
Frequently asked — European Union
How does Muscle Guard handle GDPR?
We collect only what is necessary, store it encrypted in EU-region cloud storage (Firebase Europe-West region), never sell or share for advertising, and let you exercise all GDPR rights in-app or by emailing support@muscleguardglp.com. Our Privacy Policy details every category of data.
Is the app available in German, Spanish or French?
English at launch. Localisation to DE, ES and FR is planned for Q3 2026 once we've stabilised the English experience.
Will you support the oral semaglutide pill (post-EMA approval)?
Yes — already supported. We log Rybelsus today and the same engine handles the Wegovy pill formulation when it lands.
Does Muscle Guard work with national health systems?
The app works regardless of how you obtained your prescription. The Doctor PDF works with NHS GPs, German Hausärzte, French médecins traitants, private clinics, telehealth, and pharmacy-led services.
EU DSA — Digital Services Act compliance?
Yes. Brand Expert (Pty) Ltd's EU DSA trader disclosure is filed on both app stores.
